The 10th international filim festival by FILKA was started on 7th Friday at Kalabhavan theatre and ends on 13th Thursday. Director Adoor Gopalakrishnan Inagurate the Festival at 6.30 AM on Friday. 'Fir kabhi’ Directed by V.K.Prakash was the Inaguration film.Brief Encounter, The Passionate Friends, Bridge on the River, Lorence of Arabia, Dr. Shivago, Rayans Datter are some filims Screens from World Cinema.
Oru Pennum Rande Aaanum, Madhyavenal, Keshu, Ramaanam, Rithu, KeralaCaffe, Suufi Paranja Kadha was Malayalam movies screen in the Festival. Documentaries of Sharatchandran, the documentary director who recenty died was als screened.
Passes for Public will get on the Kalabhavn Theatre.
